Where have all the Spartians gone
Those heroes we all knew !
Where all the wise men gone
In Greece they had a few !

On mount Olympus sit the gods,
The head one they call Zues !
He look down on his brave young men,
Now pouring orange juice !

The wise men too, have changed their ways,
And new gods have been found !
These three gods names are strange to Zues,
The’re Dollar, Euro and Pound !

«I can’t complete with these new gods» ,
Speak Zeus to all around,
So leaving mount Olympus,
He goes magically down to the ground !

It’ been so long since last he came,
A new Greece now he’s found
Instead of trusty charriots,
Τaxis and buses now transmit the sound !

Disguised as all inclusive,
Zues arrives at the Grand Blue,
He likes the place so thinks he’ ll stay,
And have a beer or two !

If only he’d met Christos
Whose tales of Greece abound,
But no he met the French group,
And uttered not a sound !

Now back on mount Olympus,
When Zues is asked his view,
They think he’s mad it’s very sad,
He answers them “Mon due”

He sits all day and puzzles,
And sometimes he gets pissed
The blue band is the problem,
He can’t get it of his wrist,

The morale of this short poem,
Is I’m sure by now you guess
When the gods up high are puzzled
Then we’re in a bloody mess!

A 10 minute poem which took 16 minutes!
